Why to develop games?

The world is changing. The coming of the book in 15th century

changed European society [1], making significant effect on the development of humankind

in the following centuries. Appeared not so long ago personal computing and internet did the profound change. Still there are a lot of areas where the effect could be much greater. Such areas as education, professional training, industrial planning. And while many areas of software development are quite mature and archived almost a peak in it’s evolution, games, simulators and virtual reality applications started to develop in relatively recent times. Not may early hopes come true. Still it is possible to image a world where all education is provided in a form of entertaining games, all professional training instead of boring lectures is held in realistically looking virtual environments. And there is a lot of to be done in archiving this goal. And while following the way – the world will be changing and becoming better.

So I can say that like to books games are agents of change. The change which will be profound and participating in the process is an entertainment itself.

To be continued.
